"It's our responsibility to protect those too stupid to follow evacuation orders."

— Brutally Honest Man, in an an interview with Hiraldo Cooperson

Profile

Hero Name: Brutally Honest Man Real Name: Bruce Tillyhonestman Secret Identity?: Yes Age: Middle-aged Gender: Male Occupation: Superhero, food critic Base of Operations: The Fortress of Fortitude

Overview

Classic. Daring. Inspired. These are some of the words used to describe the novella being advertised right before Brutally Honest Man's latest news appearance. Saving the world for over 20 years, the praise he elicits from those he has saved is matched only by the uncomfortable silence. Despite his name, Brutally Honest Man's primary suite of crime-fighting powers have nothing to do with his propensity for providing direct commentary. However, both leave his opponents stunned.

Description

Brutally Honest Man's white, blue, and red striped top does not display any flag, yet nonetheless inspires pride in citizens of no less than four countries. He wears a red cape down his back, and needs no mask to cover his bold 1980's moustache and short black hair as no one could mistake him for his alter ego, Bruce Tillyhonestman, who wears a white, blue, and red striped top and a red shoulder cape.

Origin Story

Since he was a child, Bruce Tillyhonestman always knew he was different. It is unclear if he had developed powers yet. He always had a strong sense of truth and justice. Especially the truth part. Maybe a little too much of the truth part. He was sent to the office a lot.

Personality

Never one to mince words, Bruce tells it like it is, whether you want him to or not. He fights crime by way of fighting crime-doers and is proud to do so. He would love to fight crime itself, but has yet to find the means to damage an abstract concept directly.

Powers

  • Super Strength
  • Flight
  • Super Durability
  • Heat Vision
  • Inability to feel shame
  • Autism?

Equipment

Brutally Honest man neither uses not needs any special equipment for his do-goodery.

Complications

Bruce seems totally unaware of the concept of polite understatements, which has at times made for awkward situations. Lucky for him, it's hard to express too much offense at someone who just saved the day.

Relationships

For years, Bruce has fostered a young hero by the name of Theodore Conplement and is usually found with his sidekick kicking around by his side. He has also been the individual most responsible for preventing the nefarious villain known as The Pun from realizing his evil plans.
