Frightning Bug has placed bombs inside the Museum of Unnatural History amist the opening of an exhibit dedicated to the heroes of the The Eventide.
Thankfully, several heroes happened to be in the area and were able to respond in time: A rising local favorite Topaz and her best friend/social media manager Alma, the homeless Magpie, and museum curator Paladin.
In a race against time (bombs), the heroes sought out each explosive and threw it into the sky where Topaz used her energy blasts to detonate them harmlessly. Frightening Bug harrassed their attempts, utilizing his flash suit to stun and blind the heroes.
After dealing with the last bomb, the heroes were able to quickly subdue the troublesome villain, who crashed down from the sky to a nearby intersection – straight through the ground!
The heroes followed the unconscious Bug into the newly-created hole to discover an abandoned base beneath the street. They searched, finding it mostly emptied, but still containing a large supercomputer in the main room. They reactivated it and then realized exactly what they had stumbled into: The long-hidden hideout of the city's former heroes.
With a locus of operatons and powerful informational tool now at their disposal, the heroes resolved to become a group and continue their fight together, right after they bring the Bug to jail and fix the hole in the roof.
While hauling Frightning Bug to the station, they encountered a woman by the name of Helena, who told them she was doing research to help the disadvantaged. She asked if the heroes were willing to donate any tech or biosamples they had to her cause. Not sure what to make of her, the group opted to share Bug's flash device but refrain from any bloodwork. She thanked them and gave them her number in case they would like to assist further.
