Overview
A mercenary who has quickly garnered a reputation for both success and only taking high-risk jobs. He counters his opponent's movements with such precision that it appears as choreography.
Description
Eyes hidden behind a visor, Lockstep otherwise does not hide his appearance. He has wild short brown hair and advanced equipment, usually seen with a rotating set of weapons.
Origin Story
Lockstep's background remains unknown. He was first recognized through his work on missions for various employers.
Personality
For someone with such a serious profession, Lockstep is surprisingly lighthearted. He is also an adrenaline junkie who thrives in fast-paced and dangerous situations. This is no doubt in part a response to his powers.
Powers
Lockstep is a precog – he can see the future. In contrast to many mythological future-readers, his powers are neither vague nor require substancial effort. He can see the future almost as easily as the present. However, also in in contrast, his clairvoyance is limited to only a few moments forward.
Additionally, he is a highly skilled and acrobatic combatant, proficient in a wide variety of weapons and techniques.
Equipment
Lockstep utilizes advanced weaponry and technology specialized for different purposes. He fluidly adapts his armament to meet the situation at hand. He wears flexible body armor, and jet boots which allow him to 'skate' at high speeds and even straight up vertical surfaces. He also posesses a passive sonar visor which allows him a limited ability to see invisible objects and through walls.
Complications
Already knowing what's about to happen makes things a bit boring. Lockstep thus likes to create dynamic and challenging situations, sometimes making things harder for himself than they need to be.
Relationships
Lockstep has had a variety of employers but does not attach himself to them.
