One of the most recent supervillains to emerge, Hyena quickly proved to be a significant threat to Centropolis.
Description
In her civilian persona, Helena appeared as a not-unusual woman with long brown hair. Once she dons her mechanical exoskeleton, she stands a full foot taller, equipped with sharp claws and covered in bristle-like razors, creating the impression of her namesake animal. The Bio-Cybernetic Engine is visible glowing green on the suit's back.
Origin Story
Helena, now known as Hyena, is an Egali-Darwinist who was researching methods to close the gap between those with superpowers and those without. Through a combination of darkweb activity and direct contact, she helped organize The Egali-Darwinist Riot.
Personality
As Helena, she presented a calm, composed, and even empathic demeanor. However, as Hyena she showed an aggressive drive and mild mania lying beneath. She strongly believes in her stated cause.
Powers
While not born with superpowers, Helena is a genius bioengineer who created and utilizes a device called the Bio-Cybernetic Engine. This technology is capable of taking samples of superpowered biology and advanced technology and replicating them in other subjects. It's versatility comes from a "black box" approach, where the underlying power need not fully be understood. However, this also means the replication is not always perfect, and is dependent on a stock of sample material. As samples degrade or burn out, the powers can no longer be replicated.
Hyena has built this Bio-Cybernetic Engine into a powerful beast-like exoskeleton she created. Not dependent on the Engine itself, this suit presents a persistant threat though razor-sharp claws, bladed micro-missiles, and strong armor.
